  • Mrs. McGrath is our new Kindergarten teacher.  She loves being a teacher and is looking forward to getting to know her new students and doing lots of hands-on learning.  She enjoys baking, camping, and traveling with her family.
  • Yes, Mrs. Simpson has 8 lovely children. She is one of our new 1st grade teachers.  She grew up in Shelley, Idaho.  Besides spending time with her family, she loves reading, cooking, playing games, and laughing.  Most importantly, she loves teaching.
  • Mrs. Mackey, new 1st grade teacher, began her career teaching elementary school for 7 years before starting her own preschool for the last 4 years. She has 4 children and lots of animals including a dog, cats, horses, and goats.
  • Mr. Kennington will be teaching 3rd grade. He and his wife were both born and raised in Star Valley.  Outside the classroom, he can be found in a wrestling room, on a tractor, walking/training dogs, riding a horse, or working on a project.

Literacy Corner:

“Got Caught Reading” Tickets – We are so excited to be implementing the “Got Caught Reading” program again this year. Please come and get tickets from Mrs. Nelson to “catch” your child reading at home. Reading every night with your child increases his/her school success. Your child can turn these tickets into the office to enter into a drawing for a free book to be given away during our Husky Rally. It is going to be a great year!
