Thank you for your efforts in participating in the Spring Parent Teacher Conferences! We are so grateful for your sweet children and the opportunity to have face to face instruction with them. This year has definitely brought it's own unique set of challenges...even so, it's been a great year because of our hardworking students and dedicated staff!
Ask your child to write for a variety of purposes. Can your student help you write a grocery list, a thank you to grandparents, or a journal recording special family times? Encourage your child to use the letter and sound patterns we are learning at school. For example, your child can “pound” the syllables and “tap” the sounds to spell unknown words. Try to have a box of fun writing supplies available to inspire creative ideas.
Remember to have fun and enjoy your time writing together.
Check out the new Health Web Page at LCSD2.org! Click on the “Family and Students” tab. Then the Health Services on the far right. You will meet the School Nurses, find the district health forms, see the monthly newsletter, and find answers to your healthy living questions. Please give us feedback as to whether the page is helpful and if you would like anything else added to help support you and your student in the area of health and wellness.
